Aubrey Aviles of Marsh Girl Art is a Lowcountry artist known for her soulful connection to nature and her ability to translate the beauty of the marsh into deeply personal, expressive work. As both a creator and encourager of creativity in others, Aubrey believes art is not just something we make — it’s something we live. This spring, Aubrey will lead a 12-week guided journey through The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron — the timeless and transformational program that has inspired millions of creatives around the world. Together, participants will walk through the teachings, principles, and weekly practices of this forever-inspirational book, including reflection exercises, creative rituals, and intentional exploration designed to unblock creativity and deepen artistic confidence. Whether you consider yourself an artist or simply feel the quiet nudge to create, this series offers a supportive space to rediscover your creative voice and reconnect with the inspiration that lives within you. Book can be purchased from our gallery if you do not have one.

Freedman Arts District Class Booking & Cancellation Policy Arsenal | 713 Craven Street | Beaufort, SC Thank you for registering for a class at the Arsenal. We are honored to provide meaningful, creative experiences for our community. Because our classes require advance preparation, instructor commitment, and material purchases, we have established the following policy: Registration & Payment Full payment is required at the time of booking to reserve your seat. Class sizes are intentionally limited to ensure an intimate and engaging experience. Refund Policy All class registrations are non-refundable. This policy allows us to fairly compensate our instructors and secure necessary materials in advance. Transfers If you are unable to attend, your registration may be transferred to another participant. To transfer your seat, please email the full name of the new attendee to: Director@FreedmanArtsDistrict.org Transfer requests must be submitted prior to the start of the class. Class Cancellations by Freedman Arts District In the rare event that a class must be canceled due to weather, low enrollment, or unforeseen circumstances, participants will receive either: A full refund, or The option to transfer to a future class.
