Land of Liberty The art of Freedom.png

Where art tells the stories of American freedom, struggle, and hope.
June 25th-28th 2026

Land of Liberty: The Art of Freedom invites artists to explore one of the most enduring and powerful ideas in human history, freedom. In celebration of America’s 250th anniversary, this special exhibition asks artists to reflect on the meaning of liberty through their own creative voice. Freedom has been expressed, challenged, defended, and reimagined throughout our nation’s story, and art has always played a vital role in helping us understand that journey.

Artists have a unique ability to communicate what words alone cannot. Through color, form, texture, and story, art can reveal the triumphs, struggles, hopes, and questions that shape the American experience. Land of Liberty encourages artists to consider freedom in all its dimensions—personal, cultural, historical, and collective and to create work that invites viewers into deeper reflection and conversation.

Hosted inside the historic Arsenal in Beaufort, South Carolina, this exhibition will bring together artists who believe that creativity can illuminate history, inspire dialogue, and help us imagine the future. We invite artists to share their perspectives and contribute to a powerful visual narrative that honors the past while exploring what freedom means today and what it may become for generations to come.
